Before they became Kobanes, these Chicago Ramones-inspired poppy punkers formed this instro-surf band with a creepy, satanic theme and actually came up with twelve great, spooky instrumental surf tunes that transcend the schlock. Recorded in the Mecca of pop-punk, Sonic Iguana, by the Pope of pop-punk, Mass Giorgini ten years ago, then they broke up and none of us even knew about it until now. It's a very unlikely scenario, but hey, the devil works in mysterious ways. John Nunnally

I've seen this SF-based group live a couple of times and they have great, high-energy shows. I listened to this new release of theirs all the way through today and enjoyed tracks 1-8, tracks 9-13 are killer.. TJDMORA

Surf guitar that is more than just "let's put some reverb on it." Tasty tracks, each with a unique style. If you like Americana like Big Lazy or exotica like Kava Kon, you may want to give this a try. xpatofthemind
